The Bigger Printing Company has once again supported leading design and marketing agency Factor 3 Communications in creating a new series of signage as part of a comprehensive re-branding project for popular family attraction, Clearwell Caves.
Clearwell Caves, in the village of Clearwell in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, is a natural cave system which has been extensively mined for iron ore for more than 4,500 years. It now operates primarily as a mining museum which includes spectacular tours of the ancient mine system and natural cave system.
Factor 3 are an integrated marketing agency providing advertising, branding, digital, design and marketing services since 1996. An IPA accredited and Google Partner, Factor 3 bring both a highly creative and professional approach to their projects.
The new signage is one part of a multichannel re-branding project for the Caves, which also includes an improved digital presence with a brand-new website. Once the direction for the new branding had been signed off, Factor 3 created a series of new designs for the internal and external signage for the site. The new signage is both directional and informative, and while in-keeping with the new branding for the Caves, has a high contrast, clean aesthetic which significantly improves the signage’s readability.
As the inside of the caves have a high volume of moisture, the internal signage has been produced matching the specification of the external signage – long-lasting, robust, and waterproof. As well as printing the new signage, Bigger Printing also installed the new signage over two days, which also included the removal and recycling of the previous signage.
Commenting on the project, Mike Rice, Managing Partner at Factor 3 Communications said "It’s great to see the new identity come to life in the physical form and the signage is another key part of the rebranding jigsaw, which is now in place. Bigger Printing has delivered to the usual high standard, and the client is thrilled with the impact the new signs make in converting visitors."
