The Bigger Printing Company has been busy helping SSP revamp the internal display graphics in Bristol Airport’s Departure Lounge. A combination of new display boards and directional signage were required in and around the Departure Lounge to help customers navigate their way to the various food and drink establishments.
Ensuring that the new display panels would fit in with existing branding around the airport, and that every establishment received an equal amount of exposure was highly important. Colour samples were taken from existing signage around the airport, and careful planning was taken with the designs to ensure all the brands of the various food and drink establishments were represented in a fair and balanced way. Bigger Printing also helped convert the design work into print-ready artwork to ensure that the production and installation periods of the project would run smoothly.
A mixture of 3mm dibond, 2mm and 3mm PVC was used to create the eye-catching displays, along with grey-back vinyl to create a wrap-mount effect. The display panels ranged from 1.1m wide to 3m wide, and were bonded to the walls, stairs and glass panels around the Departure Lounge.
Commenting on the project, SSP Operations Manager Lee Pears said “we required a print partner that understood our business requirements, one that would ensure any new display boards were sympathetic to existing, a print company that would help with our design work and produce first class print and installation. Working at any airport requires a business partner who can adapt and work with very tight security requirements. The Bigger printing company certainly fulfilled all our requirements and we will be working with them to produce future design and print projects.”
