Following on from the recently completed hoarding display project, The Bigger Printing Company has been busy back at The Brewery Quarter, Cheltenham’s fastest growing entertainment and eating destination.
Over the past few weeks, Bigger Printing has been producing and installing over 112 sheets of composite aluminium hoarding panels to create 12 large wall displays on the exterior of the newly built extension to the site – part of the £30 million regeneration scheme for the lower High Street.
Each of these 12 sections measure over 5.2 metres by 4.1 metres, and are made up of smaller panels measuring over 1 metre by 2.1 metres. Each individual hoarding panel is screwed directly into a wooden panel, sitting between the building and the display.
The various designs for each section were printed directly to the hoarding panels, rather than printing onto a vinyl and mounting the vinyl to the composite panels (as is commonly used on similar projects) – thus saving time and costs. Each panel is finished with an anti-graffiti gloss seal to provide extra protection against the elements and any other potential damage the panels could face, along with providing the gloss finish aesthetic.
Following the completion of the install, Marketing and Communications Manager at the Brewery Cheltenham, Demelsa Coleman said “This was a challenging project as we were working to a tight deadline to ensure the hoarding could be up ready for when the walkway from The Brewery Quarter to the High St opened to the public. With this in mind, Bigger Printing also had to work around the rest of the building works as new paving was laid and walls were rendered. The Bigger Printing Company as always helped us each step of the way in terms of planning and timings, to ensure the project was delivered on time and to its usual high standard. We’re really pleased with the final product and confident these will still look great into the summer when the building works complete.”
