The Bigger Printing Company have been supporting TEDx Cheltenham with large format display

October 20th 2012 saw the team at Bigger Printing displaying their large format wares at TEDxCheltenham.

TED was founded in 1984; the acronym stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. The annual TED conference brings together some of the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created a programme called TEDx where x=independently organised.

The TEDxCheltenham event centred on the theme ‘Cleverly connected’ and included speakers from a broad range of disciplines, including child psychology and communication technology. The idea was to share ideas with those in the local community, with the aim to inspire and educate on each topic.

Local businesses ranging from digital and marketing agency, Creative Network, to PR agency, Big Red Box PR, collaborated in the build-up to the day to make sure that the event had the resources and exposure that it needed.

Bigger Printing contributed by providing a whole range of large format print, including: 2 large banners at the front gate to advertise the event; temporary PVC signage to guide delegates inside the building; 6 roll-ups that were placed beside the signing-in tables and outside the auditorium; and a freestanding display board that was used on-stage - appearing in a live stream to the United States.

Commenting on the event, Sebastian Stanley, Director for Bigger Printing, says: “I’m a big fan of local events, so I was delighted when the organisers approached me to get involved. The day was a huge success and it was great to have been a part of making it happen. I was particularly enthralled with the speeches – some very interesting insights indeed.”

Bigger Printing are very active in the community and have sponsored numerous other local events, including The Cheltenham Literature Festival and The Cheltenham Film Festival. Further afield they also support Wild Futures, for whom they have produced many complimentary materials to help with their campaigns.
