The Bigger Printing Company helped stage the 2017 British Water Polo Championships at Sandford Parks Lido Cheltenham by producing a huge array of PVC banners and feather flags.
As main sponsors of Cheltenham Swimming and Water Polo Club, Bigger Printing has a strong involvement in the sport of water polo, and jumped at the chance to support the annual Championships.
The Bank Holiday weekend of 28th & 29th of May saw Manchester, Lancaster, Invicta and Cheltenham compete for the Men’s trophy, while Otter, Liverpool, Coventry and Manchester competed for the Women’s trophy.
In a very close final, defending champions Cheltenham narrowly lost by one point to Lancaster in the men’s tournament, while Liverpool took home the title in the women’s trophy.
Ahead of the Championships, Bigger Printing produced over 25 PVC banners, each hemmed and finished with eyelets so they could be easily hung around pool-side, and behind each of the goals. Bigger Printing also produced 4 feather flags which were positioned in the corners of the pool.
PVC banners were the perfect choice for the graphics which were required to run along pool-side as it is a strong, waterproof material (very important when next to a swimming pool!), as well as being a solution which is quick to set-up, and to take down after the conclusion of the championships.
Speaking during the Championships, Bigger Printing’s Managing Director, Sebastian Stanley said ‘Its fantastic to be down here for the weekend to experience the British Water Polo Championships being hosted by Cheltenham – a club which we’ve sponsored for a few years now. I think the PVC banners lining the pool-side look fantastic and really help raise this event. Water polo is certainly a sport which is growing year on year and we’re thrilled to be involved so closely with Cheltenham’.
