From 18th – 20th October, The Bigger Printing Company attended The Build Show at the NEC Birmingham as an exhibitor, showcasing a range of construction industry print solutions, such as hoarding panels, mesh banners and bespoke safety signage.
The Build Show is the largest of 9 shows at UK Construction Week 2016, bringing together over 650 exhibitors to an audience in excess of 24,000 visitors.
Over an incredibly busy 3 days, Bigger Printing met thousands of visitors, all connected in a variety of ways to the construction industry. Many of these visitors took part in the game being run on Bigger Printing’s stand – hoping to win a voucher for a Red Letter Days experience of their choice. Visitors to the stand completed an illustration of a construction site which had some items missing by placing those items where they thought they belonged. As these items were printed onto a magnetic material, they could have gone anywhere.
Visitors to the stand were also exposed to an array of printed samples, including hoarding panel materials, mesh and PVC banner materials, along with a selection of materials used for bespoke safety signage. The drink coasters produced out of aluminium composite (the material used to produce hoarding boards and some safety signage) proved to be a popular material sample on the stand, as did USB sticks produced from recycled paper containing additional project / product images.
Commenting on the project, The Bigger Printing’s Head of Marketing and Operations David Bowen said:
“This is the first year we have attended The Build Show as an exhibitor and it went really well. Our game seemed to excite a lot of visitors; using magnetic pieces to complete a spot-the-ball type game certainly seemed to get the creative juices flowing. Visitors were also really intrigued by the range of solutions we are capable of offering to suit all requirements, and I think we offered some real inspiration on what is possible with large format print. We put a lot of thought into the stand, especially incorporating as many different materials and print processes as possible and people seemed to really appreciate being able to get the specific materials into their hands."
