Embracing a Canon Workflow

The Bigger Printing Company embrace a Canon workflow with the addition of a Canon proofer

Canon Print Proofer

The Bigger Printing Company is thrilled to announce the latest development within its Production department - an upgrade of the proofing system with the purchase of the Canon iPF6400S.

Every job at Bigger Printing under goes a rigorous proofing process which involves a printed proof being produced and checked against the supplied digital artwork, before production can commence.

By upgrading the proofing printer at Bigger Printing to the Canon iPF6400S, Bigger Printing has now embraced a fully comprehensive Canon workflow as both the printed proofs, and the actual jobs are produced on Canon machines (Bigger Printing’s Production team use Canon Arizona printers to produce both the direct-to-board and roll-to-roll media projects).

Bigger Printing’s Production team will now be able to enjoy a host of benefits which the iPF6400S brings, including its the high-speed and low running costs, as well as the high-capacity ‘hot swap’ ink tanks which provide greater productivity and reduced downtime. All of these benefits are essential for Bigger Printing’s high-speed Production environment.

However, one of the most important benefits of the iPF6400S is the incredibly close colour match it provides when compared to the Arizona printers, and the iPF6400S will be run through the same RIP as the Arizona printers, ensuring the Production team have everything they need to ensure colour and print accuracy.

The printed proofs will also be recyclable and therefore fall in line with Bigger Printing's strict recycling policy.

Dan Watson, Production Manager at Bigger Printing commented ‘We’ve been fans of the Canon Arizona printers since we had our first Arizona 250 over 10 years ago, so shifting the proofing workflow over to embrace a Canon proofing printer just makes sense.

It’s a very fast machine which provides very accurate proofs for the team to use and will help our processes speed up, while maintaining the high standards we demand at Bigger Printing.’
