The banners in use at the House of Commons
Wild Futures, the primate welfare charity, has presented a petition to the House of Commons with a little help from The Bigger Printing Company.
On 10th December 2009, Wild Futures, in conjunction with the RSPCA, Colin Breed MP and Ian Cawsey MP presented a 30,000 strong petition, along with the names of 300 experts in the field of primate conservation to 10 Downing Street in a call to outlaw the keeping of primates as pets in the UK.
A reception, kindly sponsored by Colin Breed, was held in the House of Commons on the morning of 10th December in order to highlight the trade in primates as pets. Wild Futures used banners from Bigger Printing at the reception to highlight their education and conservation work.
Liz Tyson, PR and Communications Manager for Wild Futures comments: "We would like to thank Bigger Printing for their kind support in donating a campaign banner for use in special events. The banner has already been put to good use in our Primates Not Playmates Reception - it looked fantastic and created a really eye-catching focal point. We look forward to working with Bigger Printing in the future."
Sebastian Stanley, Director of Bigger Printing, expressed interest in supporting Wild Futures following a summer visit with his family. He comments: “I was moved by the plight of these beautiful creatures and wanted to see how I could help. I’m delighted that Wild Futures has accepted our support and glad that our banners have been used in such an important campaign.”
