It was a tricky job ensuring accuracy during the installation of a grand stone staircase in an imposing, new-build ‘copy’ of an historic traditional stately country house home. Highly accurate template guides were needed and that was where The Bigger Printing Company came in.
Bringing in the experts
Bigger Printing's expert contour cutting service is usually applied to display graphics, exhibition panels and signage, but on this occasion their knowhow and state of the art cutting equipment was used to contour cut huge 5mm PVC sheets depicting the projected stair elements and then the key dimensions of the staircase were printed on each sheet.
These sheets were all laid out at the base of the staircase and guided by natty vinyl templates. The staircase was carefully and accurately assembled – no problem!
Andy Maclean, Director of Stewart Design, says: “This was a challenging task with a difference, but Bigger Printing certainly rose to the occasion.”
